This can't helping them in recruiting.

Agreed. NCAA has always taken too long to hand out its punishments. I would agree with OM in saying that the NCAA drug it out to hurt them even more, but the fact they continued to cheat while under investigation negates that

This is the beginning of Ole Miss' death spiral ... you'll even get a dead cat bounce where they will sue the SEC, the NCAA, ESPN, Rivals.Com, and Google

I believe they are doing this because they know they are staring down the barrel of a DP (or sanctions worse than a DP) and 10 year show cause for Hugh Freeze. They have nothing to lose so they chose to "lawyer up".

I'm starting to think this as well. This is shaping up to indeed be the "nuclear option" as many described it. Why open this can of worms unless you feel like all hope is lost and you are staring down the barrel of the NCAA's 12-guage shotgun.

This Rebel Rags civil suit could last for several years if it continues.

See, this is where the MSU mafia could. One into play. The owner of that store needs to wake up one
morning with foxy reb's head on the pillow next to him.

Without a doubt.
