Rebel Rags has served lawsuit papers of defamation of character, slander, conspiracy and commercial disparagement to Lindsey Miller, Leo Lewis and his mother, and Kobe Jones and his mother. Hmmm.....

Those things are public record. What's the docket number? When I look at the northern district docket I'm seeing 2 filings on Friday. A job discrimination suit and diversity fraud suit. It might be semantics meaning he's informed the parties he intends to sue and hasn't filed it in court yet. I think you have to give parties a heads up but I'll let a tort guy answer that.

We all knew their fall would get ugly. Don't fall for the bull shit they're going to attempt to spew as they try to take MSU down with them. The NCAA isn't going to punish the schools that helped them take down the modern day SMU. Think about it. They're just trying to spin the narrative as always, and create something positive for Ole Miss fans. Guys like Yancy won't have a job if he doesn't make stuff up like he admits he does. Just don't fall for it.

No diversity. Leo and Kobe destroy diversity. Would have to be in state court.

And no heads up required. Not a suit against a public entity.

Let me just add, I totally believe this guy is going to sue. It's an interesting tactic being that the NCAA hasn't ruled yet. I'm sure from his pov it says to the NCAA that if you find me guilty, you're getting sued too. The flip-side which is crazy would be if the NCAA rules against him and OM has to disassociate him even though they're fighting with him now. Would he then sue OM to fight disassociation. Crazy

How in the hell (if this is true) are Leo and Kobe or their mothers being sued? I have seen nothing official that has identified them by name. The documents that I have seen only have numbers referencing the student athletes. And from what I understand about student privacy laws the names will never be released. If this is true, which I doubt, the owner of Rebel Rags is opening himself up for counter-suits.

Well he is dumb and arrogant enough to do so. His big mouth may also have him ending up like Logan Young one day.

And I thought several of the UNM faithful were all up in arms last fall when it came out how the university sold him out to either to help facilitate the NCAA or actually do a sting operation on RR so the university could show exemplary cooperation. Wasn't that sting last spring, 2016?

If it is a TORT against the university you have 90 days from the day of happening to put the university on notice. Then another 90 days to file the suit. A civil case... This will be in the court in which these people live. If it is a a civil suit -- this will take years to get into court here.

Nobody has been served. There's not even a court case in record.

This rumor is bullshit.

But bring it. Put Freeze on the stand. Establish his modus operandi in these matters by questioning how he handled similar high profile recruits. Ask about that check for the Nkemdiche Mercedes. Ask how Tee Sheppard flipped after midnight on signing day. Ask how Tunsil's poverty level family moved to Oxford and afforded a residence there. Ask how DD Bowie got moved to Oxford.

Make my day.

I'm not sure if some sort of defamation suit by this guy will allow unlimited questioning but putting highly recruited football players and their parents on the stand isn't good for any school that was involved in their recruitment. Ole Miss and everyone associated with them are all some stupid ****ers. If this goes very far I would look for the SEC to find a way to make it go away.

Players from other schools that were recruited by the Rebels he gave free shit to. They would make great surprise witnesses and would very likely come to the rescue of a fellow player in need.

This also opens UM for suit. Rebel Rags will have to testify under oath why they picked these people. You have to have cause for suing someone if you want to prove your case and receive compensation. This will come back on UM and could cost the university accreditation if proven that someone violated FERPA. Dumb move that the university better shut down before even more questions come forward. Are they really willing to burn down the whole university for Freeze?

Rebel Rags is going to be what is left of the OM football program when all of this is over. The SEC and the NCAA will kick OM out if they let this continue. If the SEC or NCAA allows student athletes and witnesses to get sued for testifying to investigators it will end the NCAA enforcement process. The SEC will be in the constant peril of mutually assured destruction.

This business was mentioned multiple times in the NOAs by multiple sources but now they're mad they got name and may lose business. Maybe they should have thought about the consequences of their actions beforehand.

And if they are going to sue someone why not sue Barney or Chris Kiffin? This sounds like simple butt hurt. As SR said they are lashing out like a corner snake that's about to get it's head chopped off.
