Nationwide college baseball is a minor sport. There are very few places that care about it like we do. We just don't notice it because most of them are in the SEC.

Are you talking about the recruiting war in football? Because we're winning the recruiting war in baseball against them.

I've heard many reasons why MSU loves baseball, but I think it comes down to folks liking a slow paced lifestyle that really casual in nature. We really like to cook and eat. Cooking outdoors and the pleasure of watching our friends, family, and strangers enjoy it is something we live for. There's lots of good fellowship during a baseball game because you don't have to be glued to the action on the field to know what's going on.
I miss the days when the SEC tourney rotated between venues. We really showed out back then.
