I'm just curious as to when we find out the punishment. It's fun to speculate but I can't wait to see the look on their fans faces.

According to our Lord and Savior, Hugh Freeze, it began last year.

In all seriousness, I believe the COI could meet as early as August.... no clue when they'd hand down a punishment after that.

If the COI meets with them in august (as has been reported) then the penalty will be handed down in September. Then, of course, Ole Miss will challenge the penalties so that may drag on a bit but I think they still have to abide by them.

How does a challenge to the COI ruling work? What happens procedurally there?

If the COI meets in August they usually make public their final decision 6-8 (also another place the NCAA states 8-12) weeks afterward, so mid to late Oct if they met that early timeline or as late as Dec. lot flexibility on that it seems

I'm sorry. You're talking about after the COI meets, but since that's their standard response to everything it still fits.
