Sickening. But, we finally see details of "the tape".

"Finally, at the end of ? recruitment, Coach Freeze was told by Farrar that family had

been offered cash payments by other schools. At the time, Coach Freeze did not know that the

conversation had been recorded. However, Coach Freeze believes he informed Compliance of

mother?s statement at that time; however, he is not certain, explaining that they often hear

?crazy things like that but very seldom have any kind of proof.? (FI No. 288, at 102).

Shortly after Signing Day, Coach Freeze learned of a Snapchat video of holding large

amounts of cash, apparently shopping for a new vehicle. He immediately forwarded the video to

Compliance and told them (either for the first or second time) about mother?s statement

because the video lent some validity to the story. Around the same time, Coach Freeze also learned

that Farrar had recorded his conversation with mother. Coach Freeze reported that fact to

Compliance as well. He followed up a couple of times with Compliance on these issues but was told

that the SEC office may not give them an update unless the issue involved the University.

Aside from his repeated communication with Compliance, this incident is noteworthy for Coach

Freeze?s monitoring of Farrar. When Farrar first told him of the conversation, Coach Freeze?s

immediate reaction was to ask what he had said in response. Coach Freeze was assured that Farrar

did not offer any money and warned ? mother that she should be careful about jeopardizing

? eligibility. When Coach Freeze learned that the conversation was recorded, he listened to

hear what Farrar had said. The recording matched Farrar?s representation. These actions only

served to reinforce Coach Freeze?s trust in Farrar and demonstrate his monitoring of Farrar and

recruitment.

It's actually pretty slick. In just a couple of paragraphs, they tattle that MSU and Alabama both offered Leo cash, then say he took it from MSU. He says he didn't believe it until Leo outed himself on snapchat, then he covers Ole Miss on the "recording recruits" accusation by stating that Barney did it and he didn't know about it. (Now Barney's gone so he can tell recruits they no longer have to worry about that). So - we are supposed to believe that the one and only tape that Barney ever made fully exonerates Freeze, Barney, and OM? LOL - yeeeeaaaaah. That wasn't orchestrated as a CYA after the fact, was it? That was a sting by the NCAA, if anything, Freeze. You're busted.

Also among the building himself up and tearing everyone around him down is this gem on, I suspect, Kobe:

In a February 2016 interview, signee alleged that during the

course of his recruitment he, and anyone with him, received free apparel from during

trips there on at least four occasions. According to , he was instructed to ask for an employee

named ?Emily? who would authorize him to receive roughly $500 worth of free apparel each visit.

s claimed that Barney Farrar provided that instruction. Specifically s described going to

s following his official visit along with all or a number of prospects on their official visit

that weekend and receiving free apparel at the same time.

s was a ?three star? prospect in the 2016 signing class; his official visit weekend was

January 29, 2016. Simply put, was not as highly regarded as many other players visiting that

weekend. For example, ?five star? prospect took his official visit that weekend.

was interviewed and asked whether he received free apparel from s.

who also signed with , denied ever receiving free apparel from . Indeed,

not one of the prospects on their official visit that weekend corroborates story.

Additionally, was very specific about asking for ?Emily.? Neither nor told a

similar method for receiving free apparel. In response to requests by the enforcement staff and the

University, the owner of reviewed years of employee information and confirmed that

the store has never employed anyone named Emily. On top of that, despite claim that he

received thousands of dollars in free apparel, not one witness?family or friend?said they saw

s get large amounts of University apparel, wear it, or knew what happened to any of the

merchandise he allegedly received.

So Kobe is just a 3-star not even worth Freeze's time and efforts (at cheating). But Freeze wanted to "help" him become a better person, because that's just the kind of guy he is (see final excerpt below). PUKE

And finally - Not sure if this is Leo or Kobe, but he had to just get in one more jab at whichever one it is:

First, the enforcement staff points to Coach Freeze?s statement that he had a suspicion or

?feeling? that was seeking impermissible inducements. What Coach Freeze said specifically

was that mentioned how he hoped his mom would be able to move to a new house and that

said he did not have a car to travel from to Oxford. Coach Freeze explained that

he had trouble connecting with because he believed acted like an entitled person. He

also explained that those ?feelings? were not a reason to stop recruiting s. Instead, Coach

Freeze?s hope was that bringing to the University would help him mature beyond that

73

attitude of entitlement. Officials from the Compliance Department have confirmed that ?feelings? or

?suspicions? like this one are not a reason to discontinue recruiting a prospect.

Stay classy Hugh. Oh, and enjoy your time off when you get that 8 year show cause that's surely coming!

Is anyone worried just a little bit about the Leo stuff coming back on us in some way?

Nope. Leo didn't receive a dime from anyone associated with MSU. It's just like Cam Newton, the media and ole miss folks will say we must have paid him since he took all that money from ole miss. Surely we paid him more. Lol

Is anyone worried just a little bit about the Leo stuff coming back on us in some way?

No. Note Freeze said "he believed" the tape was given to compliance. There is no tape. If there was, the NCAA would have it, and we would have already gotten an NOA, and Bracky would have sentenced Leo to hard time at Parchman.

We didn't have to pay Leo, he got to play for the best development school AND get paid by Ole Miss to do it.

What's hilarious is their claim that Mullen orchestrated all this, while also saying we paid Leo....so, let me get this straight, Dan is brilliant enough to plot all of this, yet so dumb that he chose to use a guy we ACTUALLY PAID to come to MSU? Shirley OM people can't be this dumb. Who would pay the recruit they encourage to get involved knowing he would be dug into? No matter how you follow their story....it always ends in a contradiction of another part of their story

Regarding Freeze's response: If the alleged tape backed up Barney's accounting of the conversation with the mother, why did Freeze fire Barney? He would have had no reason to get rid of him. And why did they totally trash him in their response to the NOA? Things don't add up.

No, OM is basically acting like a little child that is throwing a temper tantrum because they did not get their way and is trying to place blame on the older, more mature sibling. Ultimately, outside of their fan base they just look ignorant and dumb. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ultimate melt that is currently starting to happen. Give it a few weeks and they will start to eat their own. This was one last push to try and rally the troops and it is going to fail miserably and blow up right in their faces. It will be hilarious.

Is there further punishment for lying to the NCAA in the formal, written response?

Yep! I don't remember Freeze taking responsibility for anything that has been negative with "his" program. Maybe a few football losses, but I don't remember him even doing that. Seems like Bo and others were why they lost. Freeze does seem to like the attaboys, though.

So let me get this straight, Danny Hugh. In filing your 91 page response, you couldnt be troubled to have the compliance department look up for you the time and date when you reported and turned over the recording? I mean, that bit of information on how much of a compliance centered guy isn't important in the grand scheme of things is it?

Scenario 1 - The recording actually exists as stated
They don't turn it over initially because they would probably have been required to turn it into the SEC after the whole cam Newton fiasco. So instead, they wait to see if he signs with them. When he doesn't, they use the video he made as the perfect time to turn in the Recording to compliance department to cover themselves

Scenario 2 ? the recording doesn't exist
This is the most likely since Danny Hugh can't remember if he reported it or not when barney first told him about it. We did not hear anything about this suppose it recording until after the draft night fiasco when the investigations continued into Barneys misdoings. If there is a tape it's probably fabricated. Thats why he can't remembe. There's no record of it and the NCAA already has an entire listing of all the compliance department records.

Here's a head scratcher.... if the NCAA is on campus and you have a recording of a recruit asking for money wouldn't you tell them???? especially if it was one of your rivals Unless you were in the middle of it too.....

BrunswickDawg

And I believe there was no mention of the tape in the Ole Miss response. Don't you think Ole Miss would have made that tape the OJ bloody glove of their defense?? See see, if the Leo tape exists, you must acquit.

If the tape exists, they cannot use it because the existence of one tape would imply that they recorded all of their recruits. This would include times when they may have been offering things they should not. If they have one tape with SA 49's mother, they would have hundreds of tape. The last thing they want is for the NCAA to demand the tapes.

I do believe they may tape the recruits, but they erase tapes unless the recruit signs somewhere else and there is nothing that could implicate them.

IN any case, I am sure the NCAA said to them, "Tapes; great give them to us." What do they say then, we erased them????
