Years back there was a MSU blog called Mississippi State of Mind (now defunct). There was a writer on there who wrote a story calling out Freeze's faith for not being genuine. The writer was immediately followed by Barney Farrar and Farrell starts lighting up his DMs that the writer was wrong and Freeze was the real deal yada yada. Barney was essentially his attack dog. The writer write a follow up with shots of the DMs I think. I had/have a relationship with the site owners so I saw all of it. I texted one of the old owners today asking if he still had those pics. I bet ole Barney wishes he had those quotes back...

Further it just gives more context to Barney & Freeze's relationship. Barney did Freeze's dirty work in recruiting, trying to intimidate detractors, etc.... It's hilarious that the defense is Barney was rogue. Barney was Freeze's right hand that did what he was told.

From everyone I've talked to, Barney really is a likeable guy. He was determined to be good at the job Freeze laid out for him. Now, he's hurt he was discarded like trash while others were allowed to stay.

The ole miss faithful want us to believe all along Barney was really Lex Luthor and Freeze was Otis, his bumbling sidekick.

They are some kind of desperate.

The atmosphere around that athletics departments is like the final days of the Furher bunker. Hitler keeps telling everyone that there will be a miracle that turns it all around, but they all know he's full of crap and just play along. The rest of the world circles to watch the final destruction.

The irony is that even if Freeze had no idea that Barney was doing all of this, isn't that, by definition...Lack of Institutional Control??
