Ole Miss is acting like the self imposed sanctions are all that they are getting whenever they are in front of a camera. I'm sure that's what they are doing with recruits as well. They talk about how they are going to get through the 1 year bowl ban and yada yada yada. They don't even entertain the thought that Freeze will be gone and the bowl ban very well may triple. They are pathological liars. They say the shit so much that they actually are going to be truly shocked when Freeze gets fired and they get a shit ton added on to their sanctions. I've never seen an administration with less self awareness than them.

They could've cut bait after the 1st NOA arrived. Instead, they chose to retain damn near every person listed in the allegations. If they had cut them in the wake of the 1st NOA then I feel like the NCAA would have looked favorably on the case and we wouldn't have seen the Amended version with LOIC/FTM tagged on later. Their lack of action in at minimum cutting Barney loose had to piss of the NCAA - and when they went on and not only retained Freeze, but gave him a damn contract extension must have infuriated the investigators.
