Perhaps Mullen has realized that recruiting elite WRs to MSU without cheating, is very difficult. So why no evolve to a system that doesn't require that?

Look at ark's offensive success with them. Not only would they help us in the passing game, they'd help us upfront running the ball.

I would also LOVE to see that same team's OL players -- #'s 73, 75, & 79 at camp this summer.
They had some nastiness to how they played.

Despite what I just posted I like this particular recruit at TE.

Watched him play several times last year. Great hands, goes after the ball. Plays in a run first offense, so he can and will block. Not afraid of contact. Could even grow taller. Could see after a redshirt season, could be a really good one.

Not only that but trying to find WRs that beat DBs with speed is becoming more and more difficult because there are so many more 4.4 and 4.3 DBs. However Hunter Henry killed us last year at TE and Bear was highly successful even though he was very slow. They were able to use their size plus their jumping ability to almost always be open. Finding guys like Cumbest and Powers with that type of size and soft hands is a mismatch for the defense. Finding mismatches is what Mullen is all about.

And like someone said with the extra size it will also help the running game which makes it even more advantageous.

I'm. Or 100% sure that Bama offer is legit. I think we are still on Gooden but I'm not sold he has all those offers not even sure if he is a take for us. IYOK can chime in

I'm convinced some of these kids just make up their offer lists when talking to the recruiting services for attention. Like that low 3-star OM signed late on signing day who showed an offer from practically every power player within 600 miles plus some more; no one has that many non-committable offers. Not sure if this is the case with Gooden though since he was decently rated out of high school.

Yep, you can't let any kid hold your program hostage. Either he has maroon blood running through his veins of he doesn't. Nothing like being the girl's 2nd or 3rd option for Friday night... bu-bye bitch!
