USA has already seen Plum I believe. Lets throw Gordon 1st game, then throw Pilk against USM. If we beat USM, then we have McQuary and Plumlee to throw GM3 and 4 to win it.

Then if we make it to Supers, throw Gordon against Lange, Pilk against Poche, and McQuary against their Sunday freshman who pitched against Ark in the SEC champ game.

I'd go Pilk just bc USA a very good team. Definitely one of the best 3 seeds, if not the best. We've played them 3 times and are +1 in the runs category. This is not a team to f*** with. If we don't throw Pilk, and lose and face Ill/Chicago in round 2, we'd probably want to rest Pilk in which case he wouldn't start until Sunday, or even worse we go home and don't even throw our best starter.

I just feel if we want to win the Regional instead of just prolonging our stay, we gotta have Pilk vs USM on Saturday. Sure, Pilk gives us a better shot vs USA, but if Cole can't beat USA we aren't winning the Regional anyway imo. I respect and see the points of those that think Pilk should go Fri though too.

With a full staff, or in a one-game situation, then yes.

But we're playing to win the regional, not just one game. With our staff situation, we'll have to be aggressive / risky in order to win the regional.

I'm good with either guy. I think Gordon has really come on and is very capable of beating USA or usm. I would go with who gives us the best matchup against USA lineup. They aren't gonna roll over for us obviously.
