I know this is OT but we have a lot of Allman fans on here.
The world lost a fabulous musician today. I saw him last year and he still had it. I'll be listening to Gregg Allman and the Allman Brothers until the day I die.

Crushing. Losing Gregg and Butch so close together really is the end of an era. Their show in Starkville in '93 or '94 was one of the best I've ever seen.

The reunion show tonight with Skydog, Berry and Butch will be awesome though.

I stopped liking him when I learned he broke up Sonny and Cher.

Man, talking about eerie. At Pelican Cove in Ridgeland and one of the televisions had the story about his death on the news and just as it came on the band broke into an Allman Brothers song. Damn

April 22, 1994 (http://www.bluestraveler.net/archive/searches/setlist_display.php?show_id=722). Great show. Saw Gregg Allman Band show a couple years ago. He looked really rough, but sounded great.

That was it. I got a pic from Dickey Betts that night.

Sweet Melissa and Blue Sky. Very hard to beat. 2 lead guitars playing simultaneously. Greg was an ass kicking SOB.

The planet lost a good one, for sure. Like most of you, I have many, many memories made with his music. I'll always hold this album dear, as it was when I really got to know the Allman Brothers Band. SapperDawg played it frequently, and I was around Junior/Senior in High School. I always loved this track..it's a good one.

Allways loved the Allman Brothers. Saw Greg at the House of Blues in Dallas about 7 years ago and he rocked the joint.

I wish I could find a live download for this show. One of my favorite shows from them and it was an amazing day! Brings back some great memories
