View Full Version : Bear Football Players Have A Real Dilemma Quickly Approaching

For a moment, put yourself in a Bear football player's new car.

In early June, we will see boosters names released, new allegations made from the 2017 recruiting season, and potentially Big Beaver fired.

If your a player, do you wait to transfer after the COI meets and run the risk of that happening in the Fall, at which point you can't transfer, or do you see the writing on the wall, make a preemptive strike, and transfer out in June?

Big decisions coming up for these turds.

So OM goes into mutually assured destruction practices? Blackmail that only highlights further cheating?

Honestly, it would depend on my eligibility and other factors. If I was an Ole Miss legacy from Jackson Academy and it was always my dream to be at Ole Miss I would probably stay regardless and re-evaluate after the death penalty.

If I was a senior, I'd stay.

If I was a junior I would probably ride it out for this season but be looking and possibly use the grad transfer rule so I could go somewhere that isn't on probation.

Sophomore- I would stay until the hammer falls and then go when the NCAA allows transfers to go somewhere without sitting out- whenever that is.

Freshman- Probably the same as the sophomore pretty much except know that I have the option to go the JUCO route if the NCAA doesn't allow transfers for some reason.

I'm assuming that all of this won't be resolved until next year after Ole Miss appeals and all of that jazz.

If you are as guilty as the school what choice do you have? They are trapped and since Ole Miss let it be known that they recorded recruits I don't think they are above blackmail.

Yep. If I was a recruit I wouldn't even talk to them. They evidently, by their own people's admission, record everything you do.

My assumption is that, if a JR transferred now, and the NCAA gave OM a 2 year bowl ban, the NCAA would allow that player to play immediately

Will the NCAA have made that decision in time for them to be able to play this fall for a new team? If not, I think that will be the dilemma that the player will face. Do I take a chance that the NCAA doesn't make a ruling before the season starts?

With the NCAA protocol and then the way OM is dragging this thing out, I don't see anyway possible for that to happen.

May 26th would fit their agenda better. Memorial Day Holiday weekend should mean less views and less comments. It's not their first rodeo on something like this. Just have to see how it plays out.

The schedule looks like it will be a mid-season announcement of penalties. Somehow, I think it works out to be right after the season.

The players are screwed.

All that is happening in the next week or two is a response by OM. It will take 50-60 days from there for the COI to respond and on into Sept-Oct for extra penalties to be handed down. OM has done what it wanted and delayed this into the season- so there isnt a player exodus before kickoff gets here.

The Bear Cabal is already planning to keep prolly 60-70% of those freshmen and sophomores. They will spin, lie, and bake up half truths to keep a semblance of a team. Then there's the big when, when those players realize that they've been played and they're locked in...do they refuse to practice, quit, go work at the Shell station?

A Real Dilemma for the Bears

The dilemmas for the bears recruits and players that EACH must address individually:
1. I took a "burner phones" from the recruiter(s).
2. I, as a Recruit, took Benefits from coaches, recruiters, and boosters
3. These Benefits include:
a. Cars and/or Trucks (new, used and loaners)
b. Clothes
c. Jewelry
d. Electronics
e. Cell Phones (not the burner phones)
f. AND a "STASH of CASH"

4. MY parent/parents sold MY soul to hell and now I want out of that agreement......
5. MY parent is looking for another school for me to transfer too...
6. I LIED to the NCAA and they caught me....
7. Following the MONEY... how much does the "bag man" still owe me?
8. Who is my Booster/money guy?
9. Is their name about to be blasted all over the media? Is this going to hurt my boosters, coaches etc. families?
10. Where is my coach, recruiter and booster, do they have my back or are they still employed at tsun?
11. Is my High school coach and schools name going to be in the list?
12. Who received money at my high school?
13. How deep is my high school coach into the mess at tsun?
14. Will my escort/prostitute be named? Will my contact for this person be told?

NOW lets look at a time line:

May 26th SHOULD be the date that OM has to have their February 2017 NOA Answers to the NCAA.
??? CAN or Will NCAA publish the said NOA before OM does????/

May 28 - June 2, 2017 -- Coaches meeting in Destin, FL.

June 5th - 9th - MS Ethics Commission has AGREED to OM's statement that they will release the entire OM NCAA NOA UN-redacted as according to MS law per requested by OUR friend.

July 2017 -- SEC Media Days in Birmingham, AL (boy this should be FUN for tsun)

July 26, 2017, (using the 5/26) NCAA should have reviewed and either excepted or rejected the plea of OM. This is also the time period when the NCAA should set the COI meeting. Which is to be held within 30 days..

August 26, 2017 --- COI Meeting should have been held

October 26, 2017 -- NCAA should publish OM penalties...

Since the FINDINGS will not be completed and published until AFTER football season starts.... How can anyone TRANSFER???

Just saying......

I'm not sure why some seam to think that the players can't go anywhere because they took gifts? Y'all think ole miss is going to turn them in because they took the money and ran??? Makes no sense. The players have them by the balls. If ole miss rats them out THEN the get the death penalty. The players own them. They will leave or not leave because they choose too, not because ole miss holds some power over them. Now, the players might like their current set up and choose to stay. And why not if they have a good monthly stipend coming.

Did the NCAA offer current OM players immunity?

Because if not, then there will be some penalties handed down to various players that accepted impermissible benefits from OM. If the players lied to the NCAA, then the penalties will be severe, rendering them incapable of transferring.

If they have current players involved that's correct. But the vast majority of the ones there won't be implicated.

To turn this around a little from what does the player do....

What does the booster(s) do? If they have made an agreement with a player, and is currently in the middle of that agreement, does he complete the agreement or cut it off? Especially the ones that will be named in the NOA. And you would have to think the ones not caught or named will, or have already thought to themselves whether they should keep committing the violation or ending it.

If they continue, they run the risk of getting caught "again" and really screwing the pooch, and if they end it....well, you can only imagine what would happen then.

So, what do you do Mr. Cheater?

There is "NEW" stuff for the 2018 recruits/signing class already..... OM did NOT stop recruiting violations when they were handed the NOA in May 2016 NOR the 'add-on' in February 2017... They REFUSE to stop..... I NOW have names that are involved in my area... Boosters that stand to lose MUCH.....

Yes, there were players that signed with other colleges that were offered immunity -- so to be FAIR, yes, there are players at OM who were offered the same... Some LIED to the NCAA and so did the parents. So what happens to those who lied????

That's what I'm getting at.....there are definitely current players on the OM roster that accepted impermissible benefits. They should have to serve their own individual punishment for accepting the benefits and lying to the NCAA. They will not be allowed to transfer to another program unimpeded and granted immediate playing time.

If it is a two year Bowl ban...Current Jrs will be able to transfer after the season. USC was handed down a two year Bowl ban in June and their Jrs were able to transfer after the season. So much less if penalties are handed down during a season.

By them being handed down during the season...the current Jrs will have to make a decision. Once that decision has to be made they will only have one more year and some will decide to stick it out. Had a two year Bowl ban come out...say now, you would see more transfers than now that they delayed.

One step ahead..... Stuff has been reported... to NCAA..... Thanks

The bowl ban that OM imposed on themselves is just that SELF-imposed. The question is "Will the NCAA take the ban at it value or hang OM" I believe we will have a hanging of the ATH program....

I had someone ask me -- because they heard someone talking.... Can OM "BARTER" with the NCAA... If OM fires HF.... Don't think so this time....

Alabama had one booster to silence though.

If OM tried to silence their crew the authorities would think they had a serial killer on their hands in Mississippi. Seriously, when up to a 10 boosters + employees within the Athletic Department were all intimately involved in this systematic cheating scheme, it would be very difficult to silence damn near 2 dozen folks. I know lettuce is cheap, but there are only so many deaths blamed on salads & falling UP stairs.

Sure there are... And a few, and I mean very few will get caught. And it will all be minor. The major stuff is w people no longer there or went other places. The peopl who went there aren't going to admit anything. That would be stupid. So back to my origami point, almost all will be eligible to transfer. Some will but that number remains to be seenn
