Will be at around 33 after today's loss and a 6th place finish in the SEC. We'll be a 2 or maybe even a 3 seed in Hattiesburg or one of the ACC powers' Regionals. We may have won our last game of the year on Tuesday. Disappointing ending to a pretty magical and fun run through 45 games or so

Hard to argue we deserve to host.

Vs sec teams with winning record = 5-9
Vs sec teams with losing record = 12-3

We've beat up on bad teams which is exactly what we should do, but we can't hold up vs good teams

We just aren't very good. Too injury depleted on the mound and too many holes in our line-up. When you have Belmont and Poole in your line-up, you better have a top notch pitching staff. We don't

Completely overachieved this year

The thing about all sports is that teams always ascend or regress to what they are over the course of a full season. This team was never as bad as it looked when we lost to Marist and Morehead State. We were also never as good as we looked when we won the UK and A&M series either. It's no different than 2014 football when we were disappointed about the finish when the reality was that we were never, at any point, even one of the 10 best teams in the country (in spite of spending a month as the top ranked team). The composite performance though is that the job Cann has done with the squad is a minor miracle. I said before the season that if we even finished over .500, let alone making a regional, we should make Cann the highest paid coach in the country by a wide margin. I still believe that.

With all the hitters we lost from last season, pitching was going to have to be what carried us this season. 10ish injuries and one booted from the team obliterated that possibility.

We did overachieve. And hopefully that's a sign of what's to come when Cann has a full deck of cards and an entire offseason with the team.

It'd suck being a player on our team. When they win, Cann and Henderson seem to get all the credit. When they lose, it's all bc they have no talent

Yep. Can't be a great coach that just had a shitty coached game. Not possible.
