Manieri thought he had it made with Cann doing most of the heavy lifting and then we got him. He never thought anyone would take a chance on a two year assistant but he was dead wrong. Cohen thinking outside the box serves him well again against Manieri.

It was game 1 of the series at LSU last April. LSU player tried to score from 2nd on a single to CF. Mangum made a perfect throw to Marrero to get the out at home. It appears that Mainieri thought he was safe.

It was tied 4-4 at the time. State ended up winning 12-8.
