Horrible call

If Clinton-Dix gets ejected for that, it would be a travesty. Just as a guy who likes football and is a fan of the game, I'm pissed off about that call. If I was a Bama fan, I would be absolutely livid.

Horrible call

Why can't the call be overturned? It's either targeting or it isn't.

Personal foul remained, targeting was dropped. All shots with crown of head (be the target as low as to the feet) and all hits above shoulders are a personal foul.

Can't review penalty

One of the worst calls ever. They have to change that rule. If the replay ruled that he was NOT targeting, then you have to wave off the flag! It certainly wasn't pass interference.

Now penalizing a defensive player for playing on after his helmet came off.

Quit. Ruining. Football.

ESPN is to blame, somebody should have told the first do-gooder to speak on the subject to STFU or be fired. Why in the hell they harp on concussions and player safety over and over and over when it DIRECTLY negatively affects them is unreal.

While the targeting penalty was obviously BS, it's pretty reasonable to discourage players from playing with no helmet. Someone could literally get killed doing that.

I would prefer a 1st offense warning, 2nd offense ejection system than a 15-yard penalty though.
