As of today, we are #7, hosting a Super in Starkville, with USM hosting the opposite regional in Hattiesburg. Can you imagine the turnout if this happens and MSU and USM advance to super in StarkVegas?

Very nice. That would set up pretty well for us.

ETA: Actually, I wouldn't like Auburn sitting as the #2 in that USM regional since I think they would come out of that one. They won't if they keep playing like this, though.

They have Ole Miss out entirely, btw.

The best part of that might even be Mississippi being one of the first four out, while both State and USM host. That's funny right there.

Nice to read where somebody has some faith in the Dawgs. Reading this board would lead one to think otherwise.

How does it makes sense that their top 8 national seeds don't match their own poll?

One is their own opinion, the other is what they think others will do.

I think it also may have a little to do with what they think is likely to happen the rest of the regular season. They probably have us winning at UGA, and at home vs a highly-ranked UF that is also expected to be a national seed.

Man, that's 2 big brain-farts in the past two days! "Old-timers" may be setting in. :)

Still, we will be playing a highly-ranked LSU, and they probably expect us to win that series.

Was Oral Roberts in our Region last year?

I'm pretty sure they approach these projections as a 'if the season ended today' guess. So I don't think they're making any predictions on what will happen going forward. That's a very good sign for us.

Don't worry Blacklisted, we all have them. Even Rosebowl on BSR podcast Monday made comments that led me to believe he thought we were playing LSU in Baton Rouge.

Does road wins help RPI more then home wins?

Yes, in Nolan's calculations road wins are worth 1.3 and home wins 1.0.
