This Baseball Team Continues to Set

The pace as the dambdest thing I've seen in MSU athletics and continues to make strides towards becoming the least talented SEC Champion in at least 30 years. An absolute hell of a job by all involved.

The only thing that could be more dambder than this team is if OM received less than 30 scholarships and a 2 year bowl ban from the NCAA.

What's more damnder, this baseball team or the 2013 Auburn football team that won like 4 games on the last play?

Oh there's talent. It's just showing itself in different ways than what is normally seen at this level. That in itself is a testament to the job done by the coaching staff.

Well they aren't. We had a team in 2012 that had 8 Major Leaguers on it. This team at very best has 3 and it's more likely that only one out of those three makes it.

They may not be talented,but they have a heck of a lot of juice or magic sauce that will make many of these guys extremely successful in life. Calling these guys talented would be discrediting the real reasons as to how they are winning.

Aggies got 5 hits today. Just can't say enough of the job Henderson has done with this staff. No doubt they are getting more confidence and better every weekend.

Aggies are an ok club but the announcers gave them way too much credit. Auburn is a better club than them.

Don't know if that's a word or not, but we can call them the Damnder Dogs in honor of Shotgun.

It truly is an amazing story and we're lucky we get to watch it continue to unfold.

I've been a State fan for 50 years...Baseball '17 is the biggest bunch of over-achievers I can ever recall. I'll take this team getting to a super-regional over "more-talented" squads any day.

Well... just because we had a few good recruiting classes (Many of which are out with TJ) doesn't mean that this team compares well talent wise to past SEC Championship teams.

With what we are running out on the field right now, it's somewhat equivalent to MSU winning the SEC in football.

Under that rational then the entire SEC doesn't have SEC caliber talent. You can say what you want with out saying in the way you are saying it. You could say it is amazing how they are doing so well with all the injuries and young pitching staff.

This team has nice players on it, but, if they pull this off, it will be an incredible feat. Far greater than last year's team.

Well if we don't have SEC talent what does that say about the rest of the SEC? Even when you are trying to be positive like this thread you somehow make it negative. All I know is if I was playing baseball on this team and we are winning the SEC as of now and I came in and read this thread I would be pretty pissed off.

I agree with that. That was an example of getting hot at the right time. And then I think Clemson whining about us hosting the Super Regional just fired up our fans and we made it a living hell for them. The heat that SR certainly made it feel like hell. Thanks ESPN for the 11 AM start in Mississippi in freaking June. Honestly- the hottest game I have ever been at were those two. That SR was probably the rowdiest I've ever seen Dudy-Noble.

I agree. Depending on how they finish will determine just how much of a legacy they have- but even if they don't go far it will be a lasting one no matter what.

Says a lot about the coaching staff for sure, but it says more to me about the veterans who kept this thing together during a crazy coaching change and pitching staff full of tommy john's. Nothing but guts in this bunch.
