Per twitters: "New MSU Baseball commit. 89-91, top 92, mph fastball. Throws four pitches for strikes. 9-1 record with a 1.79 ERA. 84 K in 70.1 IP."

Anybody seen him, or know much about him? Solid numbers to say the least, and I love that he has command of 4 pitches. Wonder what he projects as...starter?

Hell Yeah, is this guy a weekend starter day 1? What is the draft risk on him?

I don't think he's a draft risk and I think he's probably a back end of the rotation/midweek/relief guy. Which we need with all the injuries we've had.

Highly doubt he will be a weekend starter for us next year. But he should make it to campus. Jared Parks is his coach at mdcc.

Hitters hitting .197 against, given up 51 hits in 70.1 innings pitched as stated above. Has thrown 2 complete games this yr and is averaging 10.75 Ks a game.. Looks pretty good to me...

He's a freshman, right? So once he gets to State, he'll be here at least 2 years.

Can he pitch for us this weekend?

Can he pitch for us this weekend?

Next year is going to be interesting on that front next year because I think there will be a lot of competition behind Pilkington for the other three spots. I don't know that I can rule anyone out until we know who we get past the draft and we see where Hughes, Small, etc. are coming back from Tommy John.

He was a LB at Neville HS and a tough kid - I've heard his story before
The kid literally died and now wears a defib deal. (http://www.thenewsstar.com/story/sports/high-school/2014/09/10/neville-db-stops-breathing-practice-listed-stable/15407767/)

The fact that his stats are this good means he's fully recovered from all that...
