Kentucky will easily win the SEC

I just realized Kentucky finishes with home series vs Georgia and Tennessee, followed by a road series at Florida. They should easily go 7-2 at worst in that stretch, which would likely win the SEC by 2 games or so.

The West is still up for grabs though. Considering our remaining schedule and the log jam in the West...we could very easily finish 3rd or 4th in the West despite our hot start to SEC play. We need to find a way to gut out 1 at A&M, sweep UGA, and take 2 of 3 vs LSU. 20 SEC wins should guarantee a host series in the old Dude's last year.

I think OM will get 1 at UF, and UK will not lose again til UF. That means UF would have to sweep them. I don't think they sweep UK...they're good.

Meanwhile, I just looked at OM's schedule...they're screwed. They're at Florida, vs A&M in Oxford, and at Auburn to finish the year. Ouch

Just focusing on the West b/c I agree, UK has a leg up with GA & UT the next two weeks but here's a couple of thoughts:

1) Out series with GA in 2 weeks negates Auby's series with Bama this coming weekend.

2) aTm has somewhat owned us the past few years -- can we find a way to at least take 1 game b/c after their 0-5 start, they are 13-3 having won 5 straight SEC series.

3) LSU appears to have the most brutal finish in the SEC and I can see them going anywhere from 3-6 to 7-2. Here's hoping SC roughs them up and they bounce back to take the Auby series setting up a wild last weekend at the Dude.

4) It looks like OM may once again be a big asset for us as they have series left with UF, aTm and Auby. Our 3-game lead over them puts us in position to (agasp!!!), dare I say it, pull for the Sh!tbirds. I know that stinks but the greater good requires Auby and aTm to lose a series or two.

Of course, we've gotta take care of business and recapture the magic that let us win 5 series in a row.

Agreed, never know in baseball what will happen, that's why you play the games and never bet on baseball, way to many variables. Gotta love it!!
