The MSU single season record for home runs is 29 and that is held by Rafael Palmeiro and Bruce Castoria. Rooker has 19 which ties him for 8th place with Richard Lee in 1997 and 1998, Brian Wiese in 1999, Brad Corley in 2004, and Connor Powers in 2009. It's going to be tough, but assuming we make the SEC Tournament and also assuming we make a regional which are both pretty safe bets I think he basically has to hit two home runs a week to tie the record. We'll see what he does but it will be interesting to see what he does and how close he gets to the record.

If he hits one more home run that will tie him for sixth place with Rafael Palmeiro in 1985 and Mark Gillaspie in 1981.

If he averages one home run a week in SEC play he will tie Tommy Raffo who hit 22 in 1989.

Will Clark is third and fourth on the single season list with 25 in 1985 and 28 in 1984.
