I talked to one of his family members a few weeks ago during the Kentucky series about this injury. Was told it was caused by years of pitching versus what he has done while at State. From what I was told, it will require a minor surgery with a fairly short recovery time.

All of those innings pitching 12 year old travel ball....don't get me wrong, my son has played 7 years USSSA, but I intentionally kept him from pitching... he's 15 now and just started pitching and you can't tell he never pitched.
