Is this just unbelievable to how "good" our baseball team has been from last year to this year so for?
Cann has instilled a whole new attitude with a bunch of guys that never give up and seem to be enjoying the moment and the games! Damn it's fun to watch and I believe it's gonna get better after recruiting a few years!

Folks. This has been BAD baseball for 5 straight games. Yes , we are 3-2 over this period but horrible baseball is being played. The USA game was an embarrassment and Bama is as bad a team ever in the SEC. Bama should not have been in a game but walks and our inability to put the ball in play with runners on the path allowed Bama to hang around. The bright spot is we got the sweep , the bad part is we could have been swept

I agree we aren't playing well right now, but winning while not playing our best is a great sign of where our program is. 1 of those losses was to a very good team desperate to not be swept

You know, it's baseball, things like this happen all the time. You call it bad baseball, I call it winning! Baseball isn't about a beauty contest, winners find ways to win while losers ..... well they just lose.

There is nothing bad about winning and everything bad about losing!

So....would you prefer to be swept playing your best ball? Only MSU fans can bitch about winning.

Think about this, 20 of 28 games we have come from behind, that is a team that never gives up. also 3 sweeps! I see nothing ugly about winning and never have, but I don't look back and play the "what we should do!, it's always the next play and the next game going forward!

34-13 in the Sec since last March, think about that?

A win is a W. It doesn't say that it was a good win, bad win, ugly win or whatever. For your information though, Bama has lost some close games. They are not some high school team. I don't care how our team pulls out a win. It is still A W. Amazing that we pull out an SEC sweep, and somebody thinks we should have done better or done something different. Enjoy the sweep.

This team has no business being 13-5 in the SEC. If you're concerned that we don't generally look like a great team, then don't be. We're not. Which is why what we're doing is so unbelievable. Just enjoy it.

We haven't been very sharp since the Kentucky series and yet we've still positioned ourselves to be tied for first in the SEC as a worst case scenario at the end of this weekend. You call it BAD baseball, I call it finding a way to win when you aren't at your best. Which, in a way, is good baseball.

For me, the 20 comebacks are the most remarkable accomplishments of this team...they have done it against good teams like Texas Tech, Kentucky, and @ Ole Miss... not mention we are literally playing sandlot baseball with Gordon, Mangum, and Blaylock pitching in conference games

Like any other sport, when you aren't playing that well and you are still able to get the W, that is like living to fight another day. We just have to hope Rooker gets hot again and the rest of the team continues to hit. And we need to get things cleaned up and just start playing better.

The thing that I'm happiest about is the scrappiness and intensity we play with. This isn't the most talented team by any stretch of the imagination, but they get it done.

Cannizaro should get a lot of milage out of what he has done with this team under our circumstances. It should help even more with recruiting.

There are no style points in baseball, only wins and losses.

Don't want to be misunderstood, I'm elated where we are record wise. I just know, if we don't start doing some little things better, we can go on a big time losing streak. We have got to throw strikes and stop walking so many batters. Bama was up 5-0 with only 3 hits. When we have people in scoring position, especially 3rd , with less than 2 outs we have have to put the ball in play. Mangum's injured hand has been a major blow. We miss his 3 innings on the hill . Every time he throws the ball in, you see the grimace on his face. His ability to throw out a runner will be tested. Changing the subject, how do we pitch 9 innings this Tuesday night?

Just think what this team would look like if we had those 7 pitchers healthy.

At the beginning of the year we lost 4-5 games in the late innings. Now, we've flipped the script and winning these types of games. This team is learning how to win. It's not going to be a blowout where Rooker does Rooker-like things. This team is scrappy and forces the issue on the bases. Love this type of baseball.

When I think about this team I first think about its toughness and never say die attitude. It is amazing what we have accomplished with all of the injuries we have faced and Cann having to make all of the decisions he's had to make to fill out a lineup. The next thing I think about is how good we would be had we had the pitching staff healthy and available the whole year. Some of these guys throwing in SEC games would be fighting over innings during the midweek. And then I think of the future and what it's going to be like having the best baseball stadium in the country and Cann's ability to relate to recruits. That, along with his knowledge and contacts of the scouting world of Major League Baseball and if that will give him an advantage in signing guys who will choose college instead of losing them to MLB like we've done in the past. Where are my shades? This sun is hurting my eyes.

A hateful moment:

The two High Schools that de-committed from us are having bad years and are token participants. Instead of actually playing for an SEC contender they are sitting on the bench...The three guys HS that committed and stuck by Cannazarro are playing and getting every opportunity to be difference makers.

Elliot Anderson (Auburn) 4.2 Innings, 13.50 ERA, and 0.409 Opposing Batting Average

Mitchell Miller (Clemson) 3.1 Innings, 16.20 ERA, and 0.286 Opposing Batting Average

Meanwhile in Starkville, Ashcraft, Self, and McQuary have 76 combined innings and 7 Starts. With Self heading to freshman All-SEC status.

Well, it looks like we should be glad to this point they haven't been available for us.

Bama is nowhere near as bad as any team ever in the sec. You are either uninformed or don't know the history of sec baseball. Hell out 2008 team was worse. Prob 2009-10 too. Bama is not good, but go look at their close losses and come back.

There is no shame in sweeping any sec team. Especially when your stars were largely a non factor.
