That's terrible. This is something that needs to be fixed IMO.

Not to be an ass.... but MS doesn't have a city that can really host a big time NCAA event. If you want to complain about a golf championship, go ahead... but MS doesn't have a city that is equipped to host a bowl game, nor any men's nor women's NCAA tourney games as a neutral site.

This is correct.

Flowood has the 2020 Olympics. We don't need any NCAA Championships.

Only thing we're concerned with hosting is the first two rounds of the women's basketball tourney and regionals/supers in baseball. And those are earned on the court and diamond

This is a tragedy. I was planning on going to the 2021 D3 swimming and diving championship in Lena, Ms

This doesn't really affect us at all. One can't fix what isn't broken.

Good points. Also, regarding bowl games, I could be wrong but I also don't think the NCAA has any jurisdiction on where they can and cannot be hosted. They are not NCAA sanctioned events. The only thing the NCAA can control is what teams are and aren't allowed to play in them.

Sorry but no fix available. The only possible fix would be if a Detroit, Atlanta, Houston. San Antonio, etc. popped up as a MS city.

As already mentioned... no where to host anyways. But even if that changed, Not happening till the flag changes.

If Shreveport can host a bowl game then so can Jackson.

Not only Jackson... put a football stadium on the coast and see what happens.

These are not monstrous metropolitan areas listed especially for DII and DIII. I understand MS has a small population, high poverty, and is almost completely rural but surely you could host something here. We need to pick an Olympic sport and go ALL IN on becoming a powerhouse in it. My vote is women's sand volleyball for obvious reasons.***

Jackson doesn't even host the HS state championships. Fix the stadium in jackson and maybe just maybe we will host a game where two teams with 5-7 records face off

First time I've seen Detroit proposed as a fix for something.

Yes!Yes!Yes!
What the world needs now is a 50th bowl game played on the land mass between New Orleans and Mobile.
