I just don't understand how our RPI can drop 2 places (to #21) following our win over SC (who drops from #15 to #23) yet Kentucky sees their RPI jump 6 spots (to #8 now) by beating #58 Mizzou. WTF???

Our former opponents must have had bad night. Although, om winning at lsu and tenn beating auburn should've helped

RPI is stupid in every sport so I don't even bother with it - just win ball games & the rest will take care of itself

This!!!! I've never payed a bit of attention to it and we've done just fine. Just win.

Oregon beat Arizona on the road, should have helped

But

Texas Tech lost to Kansas State in Manhattan

You can't really worry about RPI on a day-to-day basis. There are so many moving parts that tweak that ratings. And it's possible for your rating to improve but ranking to decrease because somebody behind you got a bigger boost for whatever reason.

The only one that matters is the one on Selection Sunday. A day that appears to make your RPI worse on that day can actually end up making your RPI better when it's all said and done.

We had dropped to #26 after playing MVSU, so if we are at #21 now we must have gone up.

We're in good shape RPI wise. The most important thing to do is to keep winning.

There was a brief time we were at 19 last night.

That was after our win but before all the games were finished.

If you are inclined to watch RPI, it's best to wait until all games are complete. Warren Nolan is real time so the earlier you complete your game you have a greater chance of moving up or down.

This. Probably around 1 AM CST is when it's going to be most accurate for the day so it's usually best to check it in the morning for accuracy.

This is the best approach to take. Just win and everything always seems to work out!
