I got some good news on Tuesday about my son. We found out that his 10 y/o brother is a 9/10 match and will be the donor. This is an answer to our prayers. Doctor says that a 9/10 related donor is better than a 10/10 unrelated donor. The plan is to complete the procedure soon after school lets out in May. Thank you for your prayers.
I also want to encourage you guys who are between 18-44 y/o to get on the bone marrow donor list, if you are not already on it. It's a very easy and free process. If you are older than 44 you can still do it, but it costs $100 I believe. Go to bethematch.org and fill everything out, and they will send you a donor kit. You will then swab your mouth and send it back in. That's it according to the website.
Thanks again,
