I was at Ft Bragg when that game happened. Back then I think everyone knew about Ph Slamma Jamma. They were the most dominant team in the nation back then. When State won the UNC people hated that. Duke was irrelevant at that time. Even though the sugar bowl isn't what it used to be yeah it still sucks.

I still hate that the half court 3 pointer by Butler didn't go in a few years ago against Duke. It would have been legendary had it done so giving Butler the NC, even eclipsing the Villanova and NC State underdog championships. And would have definitely been the greatest single shot in CBB history.
