"But no matter what the future holds, that game on Sunday will always be for Dad. For all the years he spent helping me, coaching me and loving me. All the hours he made me fine-tune the little parts of my game ? the footwork and the conditioning...."

This is becoming one of my favorite websites. It kinda gives a glimpse into the untold stories of these athletes.

Bumping this, as I don't think it got enough attention the first time it was posted...

My favorite part, outside of the relationship details with her father, was the kind act of coach when her father passed:

"I had a lot of support from my family and friends. Even Coach Schaefer, who had just recruited me to Mississippi State but who didn’t know me very well yet, came to the funeral — that’s something I’ll always remember."

As we play USCE today for all the marbles, we should all take a minute to savor the anticipation! Win or lose - I love the way this team represents our University and how they given us some memories that will last a lifetime!!!!
