I realize we all aspire for bigger & better things, but lets take a moment to look at what our athletic department has accomplished over the past 5 years.
#1 in the country in football - Check
New Years 6 Bowl Game - Check
Stadium Expansion - Check
5 Bowl Games - Check
NFL Rookie of the Year - Check
Pro Bowlers - Check
SEC Baseball Title - Check
SEC Tournament Title - Check
College World Series - Check
National Championship Series - Check
MLB 1st Rounders - Check
MLB Opening Day Starter - Check
Process to build a New Dudy Noble Field - Check
Women's Basketball Sweet 16 - Check
Women's Basketball Elite 8 - Check
Women's Basketball Final 4 - Check

So there you have it. Have we won a national title? No, but we are headed that way. What we have done over the past 5-8 years is make a major move in altering the perception of Mississippi State from Poo Ole Mittittippi Tate to a perception of a place that breads success & identifies with the masses as a "Winner"
On Friday night, win, lose, or draw, MSU will be competing in the Final Four with the Rookie of the Year NFL QB of the Dallas Cowboys sitting next to the bench. We are headed in the right directions folks. This isn't your parent's MSU.
