Have some friends who live in Mobile, they recommend a place out on the causeway. I can't remember the name but it's the last place on the right before you get to Spanish Fort. Kind of a locals dive but they recommend it, I haven't tried it yet. Wintzells is hard to beat.

It's amazing how much things have improved with oysters over the last 10 years or so. Couldn't believe how fresh mine were in ft worth last night. Shipped from new Orleans. Big chunks of meat coming from the claws of the crawfish too.

It's pretty good. The main thing I like is the selection of oysters; the colder water makes for a really good flavor. Also, the fact I can get live lobster for $5.99 a pound is pretty sweet.

The BP oil spill probably made them grow bigger and taste better ... but just wait ....

599 a pound. You suck. Thankfully lobster has been abundant of late bringing the prices down for all.

Yall pardon me, my oysters on the halfshell just arrived. Waiting on the crawfish.

It's called the Bluegill. Only place I'll eat oysters in Mobile.

Going toward Spanish fort, the Bluegill is on the left. It's gone downhill since the people who own Felix's bought it.

That's the last place on the left. I didn't have a good experience the one time I visited, but it's packed all the time.

Lived in Mobile up until last year. Felix's Fish Camp. Same folks also own the Bluegill. Pick one, both are about 15 mins from TC.

I prefer the ones at The Oyster House on Battleship Parkway/the causeway. I also think they have the best gumbo down there.

I love Felixes also. Usually some great oyster specials. On the causeway. Never had Bluegill.
The Ralph and Kacous(sp) is ok.

I was told by a local to go to the "new" Original Oyster House on the parkway. May try it tomorrow night.

For Me Acme is better, Dragos rides their name and location.
