View Full Version : Reading on GP about an OL named Cole Smith from Pontotoc

Never heard of him. Researched him on 247. Read what posters had to say about him and his Dad (an MSU legacy). His Dad apparently was All-Sec and played in league for 9 years or so. Cole just committed to LSU (for some reason we won't offer him yet). Nice picture with him and Ogre. It says he's 6'4" and 275 and in picture he looks cut even in a shirt. Slim waist, wide shoulders. Looks like one of those corn fed white dudes you see on Wisconsin's Oline all the time. Glowing reports of him from some posters on GP.

Now I'm not really sure how good he is ... but if he is as good as some seem to think and we miss out on him being from Pontotoc and a legacy then ... that would really be something right there.

I'm guessing Hev's strategy may be to "slow play him".

I'm guessing you missed the 20 page bitchfest on here?

Ha! I sho did.

I haven't been lurking as much lately. Cain't believe I missed that tho.

ETA: I see it now. I think I might've just shrugged my shoulders and didn't read too far since it's somewhat same ole, same ole.

Saw it on GP tho, and did a little research. Don't know what he looks like on the field, but I sure thought his frame looked great for 275 lbs. Also read what some posters said about him being better than his Dad, and his Dad played in league for 9 or so years.
