Great piece Rick.

I remember Dontae tearing down the rims and overpacking the gym at NEMCC before he transferred. It was a sight to behold to watch him play against guys in the 13th grade!

I was there. One of the great overmatches of all time, Dante vs JUCO. Also a great overmatch was Eng Comp vs Dontae.

If you're still interested in that Ph.D Rick, I hear as soon as this fall there will be a new consultant group forming to help you or anyone else with any academic issues or aspirations you may have. I think they go by the name Freeze & Saunders Consultants and word is they have extensive experience in this arena.***

Dontae' is one of my all time favorites. And I go all the way back to my freshman year that began in the fall of 1961.

I went to see Dontae at NEMCC when I was in high school. He was the most dominating basketball player I have ever seen above high school level. I really think he could score on every trip down the floor. If he hadn't had ankle problems when he got to the NBA then I think he would have had a long career.
