Boy, what a waste. Spend all of that money to fly upwards of 50 people to Oregon and probably won't even get a game in. Oh well.

I always thought that the Oregon/Genespage thing was weird.

We should be playing in Southern California were it's sunny and we can find another Gavin Collins. Orange County alone produces awesome baseball talent.

Agree. Alex Detz was from California too.

Yeah I was gonna drive down for the weekend, but canceled my hotel Wednesday because the weather was looking like mid-40s for highs and 80-100% chance of rain all weekend. Even if we play, it'd be miserable to sit outside for 3 hours. There is usually a difference in western Oregon rain and southern rain though, in that it'll be a steady drizzle all day instead of a 30 minute thunderstorm, so depending on how heavy the drizzle is, they may play, it just would be miserable to sit there watching. This winter has been the worst of my 9 winters out here, no question.

Off thread but Bellard went out there if I remember correctly and beat eventual rose bowl champion Warren Moon led Washington Huskies even after fumbling two or three kickoffs. Great Jack Crystal audio if you have it......

The Matt prediction accuracy still strong I see. * I wish this one would have been rained out.

Well this is the worst winter in 20 years or so. Sure if you are here from November to February most years, it's gonna suck. But the summers are amazing (even on the hottest days, shade actually matters out here and at night, temps drop quickly into the high 50s). I don't know how anyone can enjoy southern summers. I grew up in them and hated it. I'll gladly trade southern summers for PAC NW winters.

If any of you went out there for the game you should check out the Dexter Lake Club. I hear there is a good band playing tonight.
