Things are destabilizing more than expected which is expected to allow discrete super cells to develop along and ahead of the front. These storms will pose at least some tornado risk.

How far north? Any idea?

Already passed through Corinth. Are more expected to pop up this far north?

The area in blue is the area targeted for the tornado watch. What you had go through Corinth was not the end of it. The front is just now around the Memphis area. Until it moves through you will be at risk for storms. Looks like the greatest area the SPC is watching for tornadoes is extreme east MS into AL. They have given that area a 10% risk for tornadoes.

Thanks Starkvegasdawg34 for the heads up information. It is really appreciated. Are you going hunting today?

I took an "extended lunch" a little while ago and went out on the storm that was north of Columbus. About the only other storm of interest now is about to be near Macon and I didn't have time to get down to it so I just came back to the office. I did get this pic of the shelf cloud of the storm I was on before getting in some quarter size hail.

The line came through here about 1-1:30. Started with a brief period of mostly small (pea-size) hail, then heavy rain for a short time. Had about 0.4" in about 5 minutes. There was a tornado warning in the area at the time but I don't think anything ever materialized.
