Nevermind, the saints don't need him...
"...There had been speculation that the pending charges, including first-degree felony counts for aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and robbery, could allow the Jets to cut Revis with no further financial obligation. However, ESPN?s Rich Cimini reported that the team ?won?t try to recoup the $6 million,? although it could be defrayed if another team comes to contract terms with him...."

I was going to say the same thing, move him to Free Safety and let him ball hawk.

The Jets need a long term solution at QB. Not a one year stop-gap with a balsa wood skeleton.

Revis isn't the player he used to be. The days of Revis Island are long gone. And his specialty was always his ability to press, which has been an area he's struggled in recently. Converting him to safety isn't a magic bullet, because his skill set has never fit with a safety, whether it be as a ball-hawking free or at strong. The guy just got old, as tends to happen. No way I'd pay him the money he's going to want.
