Can't tell if serious or not because i don't watch much softball.. but didn't we just have like a top 5 recruiting class or something?

I think she's done unless some good things happen this year.

Until we have better high school softball in Mississippi, we're just not going to be very good. Vann's predecessor was such a good coach that he was named coach of the US National Team, and he couldn't win here either. Vann's a good coach too - we're unlikely to hire someone better.

She's trying to build a program from the bottom up. Top 5 recruiting class is a sign that she's engaged, and is making a strong effort to capitalize on the renovation of the softball facilities. Keep her!

We're not going to fire her unless something crazy happens. She's got the best class in school history coming in. They aren't going to risk losing those kids.
Admittedly, I'm not a Vann fan. She acts like a damn fool on the field, she half-ass shows up for camps, she's a goofball. But, she's pretty good with the pitchers and she's recruiting at a higher level now. It takes time to build relationships with travel programs and looks like we've finally gotten in with some good ones. If we did decide to show her the door in the next year, I'd hire Bratton. He's the person handling the recruiting.
