According to SI, Nick Saban will visit with Texas officials...I don't even.

I don't think Saban would be dumb enough to even consider this until the season is over. However, I hope to heck he goes to Texas. It would hurt both Bama and Texas A&m.

Leverage for a bigger contract at bama. Of course if you listen to saban, he has stated the building is more enjoyable than the sustaining. Has any coach ever won titles at 3 different school

I guess SI has stirred up all the shit they can in SEC country and has moved on to the Big 12. Their Oklahoma State accusations, and now this.

If saban goes to texas with their resources and recruits, we just thought he was dominate at bama.

I've been saying for 3 years that UT is going after Saban when Brown leaves.

10 year $100M offer.

Just another one of my crazy conspiracies.

You clowns, Finebaum was being sarcastic. Of course Saban will be in the state of Texas by Friday considering they play aTm this weekend.

Thats why SI removed that.

I don't understand why everyone thinks Saban would be crazy to go to texas. He could go over there and win just as easily, make more money doing it, rub elbows with more powerful people, live in austin vs. tuscaloosa, etc., etc. Also, texas fans aren't as crazy as bama fans. Do you think bama fans would allow saban to have the seasons that mack brown has had at texas? I could go on and on, but Texas has got to be the best job in the country.

the offer is coming. it's just a question of whether he has enough interest to pursue it.

And if you all don't think think that Texas could outbid Bama, you've lost your minds. Texas could back two fleets of Brinks trucks up up Nicky's door.

SI trying to get hits on website and sale that rag that no one gets anymore except for the SwimSuit issue
And I agree if Mac is done Texas will come in full force for Lord Saban.. and 10 million per sounds about right

What do you think has more allure to a guy like Saban? Winning more titles than the Bear did at Bama or winning titles at 3 different programs? I'm thinking winning titles at multiple programs would pump the ego a little more...

Texas has the wealthiest athletic department in all of collegiate sports. Money will not be a factor for them if they pursue Saban.

I personally think Saban is going to finish his dynasty at Bama and retire. 4-5 years tops, then it's Kirby Smart's show.

Texas could outbid Bama, but would Saban want to go to there for any other particular reason, or is that reason enough? I don't see the interest, unless he wanted to challenge the SEC for the title. We all know he would.

If Texas doesn't get Saban, I think they should go after Bill O'Brian at Penn State, Al Golden at Miami, or Art Briles at Baylor. All 3 guys have done pretty good jobs under somewhat adverse circumstances.

Here's the deal, it's only a matter of time before the NFL comes back for Saban again--which he won't even consider in my opinion--or a program on equal footing with Bama comes calling. You all know Texas will likely offer. It just depends on whether or not he accepts. Don't forget the fact that he isn't getting any younger either. He may not want another challenge like that at this point in life.

Saban more than likely ends his career with Bama. Then ESPN will pay him what he wants to be Voice of College Football in Bristol..
