Does this quote mean they are fighting the death penalty.

Whoever you guys are that keep saying OM could get kicked out of the sec, keep it up. You've officially rustled OM's athletic program all the way to the top haha

Will do. Bjork may not be keen at following rules but he does know them. He knows that it is a possibility and that some OM fans will be worried about it or else he would not have bothered to mention that.

"Everything in our power" would be major hyperbolic language for something that is not a possibility. It also presents that it is not a certainty.

And before we write this off as a slip of the tongue remember that every word was written and proofed and finely worded by a university that is all about PR. They're scared.
