I'd put all the experience I had on the field early on, especially in these midweek must win type games with such a young squad. Cody Brown, Rooker, Grid, Stovall, and Mangum would be in every line up early for their experience alone.

You sir are exactly right. I get the whole "second lead off hitter" deal but he's too good not to have batting 2 or 3. As hot as Poole is I'd bat him 3rd and Stoval 2nd.

We did this crap several times last year and blew games. Left guys in way, way, way too long that had control issues instead of just yanking a guy when he doesn't have it.

You can say it's on the players but this would be squarely on the coaches for not having a short leash. This team is going to have the ability to lose a game or two like this and overcome it like last year's squad

Then a double down into the LF corner allows 2 more to score before Smith finally gets pulled. Jolly comes in with runners on 2nd & 3rd and 1st pitch sees a seeing-eye single up the middle to give Morehouse the lead. That's how you lose an 8-3 lead in the 9th!!!

Every team loses to bad teams especially in the midweek. However, why has our best bullpen guy from a year ago, Rigby thrown only 2 meaningless innings so far? Just ridiculous. I think Cannizzaro will have a lot of growing pains as a game manager. I think he is a great coach. But the managing side is going to take some time. The worst part is he is listening to a pitching coach who I told y'all two weeks ago has no business with the job. That coming from someone who would know.

A 5-game sample size is just ludicrous to judge a new baseball coach on. Coupled with the fact that 3 of our top pitchers had to undergo TJ surgery and we're behind the 8-ball. Doesn't mean we can't straighten things out, but going forward, the bullpen needs to get straightened out fast with a fast hook to being utilized by Coach Cann.

Hindsight is 20/20 but when it was obvious that BSmith came out after warmups not ready to do his job, he shoulda been yanked after the 1st 2 batters he faced drew walks. Just my opinion.
