Any chance his name surfaces in any of the new allegations? One would think he would be smart enough to steer clear of anything that would muddy his name and brand, but....
It just seems awful strange that he "stepped down" from the college football playoff committee when he did.
I have no information, am simply speculating.

Extremely doubtful. There's been a lot of names thrown out, which could connect some big time firms. But I haven't heard anything that would implicate Archie outside of him being the guy that hired Freeze. However, we know who pushed that hire. We also know, based on Musgrove's article, that Archie was opposed to going with "the Network's" guy as chancellor.

I think we've always know Freeze was just a puppet of the network, but none of us realized it reached so high up the food chain.

Maybe to the younger generation. I was very young during the Archie years but I still remember him and all the hoopla associated with him. Think how Dak was for us, same kind of thing.
