Giving up 4 runs in the 9th to a shitastic Western Illinois team is not very good. On the other hand, they did a great job vs TT tonight.

right now.

Coach was trying arms further down the list. Most worked out, Ford did not. That said, Ford has huge upside and we have to get him going. Got to be pleased with Barton, Self, and Rigby. McQuary was good. Ashcraft is probably good for 1-cycle through most mid-week lineups.

You always work your staff the first few weeks to get an idea of what your mid week and weekend rotations will be while also getting a feel for your bullpen. I've always been WAY too hard on our baseball team the first couple of weekends. I'm impatient when it comes to baseball, which is the worst sport to be impatient with.

I'm not too worried about the bullpen at all. We're not going to play very many four game series once pre-SEC play is over. We have to put guys out there to see how they do and some will look good like Self and Barton and some will not. We just have to get the ones that aren't performing out of the game before it gets out of hand and we end up with a bad loss.
