How good is this guy? I loved his performance today, but obviously WIU isn't a very good opponent. I looked up his bio on hailstate...

Had an impressive summer. If that 94 is correct with his location, he could be a very good pitcher for us this year

I think he can be an effective pitcher for us but I wouldn't take too much away from a performance against Western Illinois.

Maybe he will be the pitching version of Brett Pirtle. He's younger than most JUCO guys- he only pitched there one year.

He did what he needed to do today- and if our bullpen is as good as I think it will be I think he will be OK as a Sunday/Midweek guy for us that we can get 4-5 IP out of. I want to see what Ashcraft does tomorrow. I'm really hoping he takes the Sunday spot.

Does he have 3 years of eligibility? Or just two?

There's your answer. Imo You can't relate baseball performances against opponents like football. 94 mph is exactly what it is.

3 years, but if you can't get a Senior season from a Vance Tatum, lets say 2

If he can stay at the knees like yesterday, that's plenty of velocity

Very Sexton-esque. Means location and movement will be the key.

This all day. Much like a high fastball. You'll get folks to chase and every now and then someone will catch up with it but it turns out an overall better product.
