Appears to be a pretty good crowd tonight, although they haven't shown any really wide shots yet.

Very cold so far ... 0-7. Score is 4-2 Georgia, and we only have two foul shots by William.

We're looking terrible. I'm sure that will change, but now it's 7-2 Georgia and we're shooting 0%. 4 minutes left in the first quarter.

This has been a terrible game. Not sure what's going on.

Vic will probably get them pumped up at half time, but Georgia's defense is a handful tonight.

We're doing a little better. 21-19 Georgia at halftime.

Vivians can't hit the broad side of a barn lately. Starting to get concerned that something is wrong with her. 1-10 in the first half after shooting horribly in the Ole Miss game.

We're not rebounding well. Don't know what the stats say, but Georgia is getting a lot of second and even third shots. Down 33-28 with 5:37 left in 3rd.

Finally. Tied at 39.

We finally go ahead 45-44. First lead since 2-0 at the beginning of the game. Less than 4 mins to go.

5 point lead now ... less than 2 minutes.

Just kind of who she is. She's either red hot or pretty cold. She was red hot against Vandy, so she was due for a couple of these.

We win 58-49.

I'm certainly glad we won ... and I was afraid we wouldn't ... but that's got to be a tough loss for Georgia. They really played hard and well up until the end.

Hold on for 58-49 win. VV made two FG's tonight.

She is our version of a pretty marshall henderson

Hold on for 58-49 win. VV made two FG's tonight.

What I like about this team is that while VV had an off-night against GA, the team found a way to win and at 26-1 is in prime position to snag a #1 seed come March. But they've got a tough stretch to close the season (at #23 aTm, at KY, home vs TN).

Now what I'm really excited about is that VV is averaging 16.5 points per game this year (compared to 17.1 last year and 14.9 her freshman year) but I don't feel like we've really seen her get hot for a stretch, if that makes any sense, and as Dontae Jones will tell you, the best time of the year to get HOTTTTTTT for an extended period of time is tournament time.

While I'm glad we are still able to win when VV has an off night I am concerned because to beat the best women's team in the upcoming NCAA tournament we can't have VV in a funk.

I'm not sure she has a prolonged hot stretch in her. This is just who she is, she's a volume scorer.

Her FG% is 37.9%, which is right at her career average, and her 3-point % is 29.8%, which is just a tad lower than her career average.

She's not been playing below her normal level; this is just the kind of player she is. I think we need to pull back on her attempts per game to about 10-12, instead of the 16 she currently shoots, and have them be good shots. Those %s are just not really what you want from your go-to player on a team this good. I'd rather have William shoot a couple more per game and get it inside a little more.

I guess the point of my post was not to lay claim that VV was under-performing as much as to say that I like ALL of the parts of this team and sum is definitely greater than the whole, BUT if our top player (VV) gets 'Dontae Jones HOTTTTTT' come March, look out as we won't stop after the Sweet 16.

That was the point I was trying to make.

Yeah, I would definitely agree with that, though I don't think we'll stop until the Final 4 pretty much regardless of how Vivians plays, as long as it's not just terrible.

I'm just saying that I don't think she's due for that kind of stretch, and I'm also not sure she has anything close to that in her. She can do it for a game here or there (though I don't really remember her doing it against good teams), but I don't think she can prolong it like he did. Of course, that's a tall ask of anyone. If any team has a player get that hot, they're going to beat just about anybody.

She's not been playing below her normal level;

She is 5 for 36 from the field in the last 2 games. She is performing WELL below her normal level from a scoring perspective. Really no argument against that.

For the past 2 games, sure. I clearly meant on the season.
