Better than I would have expected. This is clearly a rebuild year with as young as we are and with as many innings played as we lost and with a new head coach. If we finish 4th we go to the NCAA Tournament as a 3 seed. I'm fine with that.

Perfect Game. The other polls and top 25 lists I've seen have TSUN in the 18-26 range.

From what I've read so far, most publications have a big gap between LSU and the other teams in the SEC West, which are in the 20-40 range. A&M, TSUN, State and Arky all have something they can hang their hat on, but clear holes that need to be filled as well.

Just considering the amount of pitching we lost either through the draft or injury, I would be happy with 4th. We also lost some big bats and our head coach. Being realistic, next year is when we will probably make a run if Coach Cann is as good as we hope.

My thoughts too. We will have a ton of experienced juniors and sophomores both pitching and hitting. 2018 season is the one I think could be really special.

Lsu gonna be really good but just lost their cleanup hitter for the season with knee injury.

Texas A&M also lost almost their entire line up with guys like JB Moss, Boomer Melton, Nick Banks, etc.

If Cann has enacted some of his offensive philosophy and mechanics we will compete for regular season title. In his first year at LSU he made a dramatic impact. He hasn't had a full year with us but I expect more offense under him than under "bunt in the 1st" Johnny. Cann knows how to tweak hitters swings. Hopefully he has made some changes already.
