Source confirms that Steve Sarkisian is all but certain to be named the #Falcons next offensive coordinator. Announcement forthcoming.

Need Canada to stay so LSU can get closer to or maybe thump Bammer. No one else in the West will (except maybe AU on a very good year).

ETA: Glad to see Sark leaving. Not that it is that likely that will hold Bammer back too much.

Here comes Chip Kelly..

I doubt that. If Kelly wants to be in college, he can be a HC

That would be a really good pull.

Yeah for Bama...they're doing their best to ruin college football.

There is only one man that cannot be replaced at Alabama and Sark wasn't the guy.

Doubt we get Kelly. He'll be picking his head coaching job in the near future.

Yeah, I don't see it being a great fit for him or for Bama over the long term. Unlike Kiffin, Kelly is a true spread coach. Bama doesn't need / want to veer that far from the pro style system. Not to mention the fact that he hates recruiting, which doesn't really jive with the rest of their staff. Although, I think he would be electric with Hurts for a few years.

I think so, too... He and Saban are friends and last month he met with the UA Staff...

Locksley, Napier, and Helfrich are said to be "on the list", as well...

Hell, I wish Gene Stallings or even Pat Dye would come outta retirement and take the OC job... #RTDB

I doubt you will ever see Kelly coach at the college level. He hates recruiting and has a big NCAA target on his back.

Does Saban turn over the offense similar to Joe Lee and let Kelly not have to leave campus? It isn't like Bama has issues recruiting, Saban could let Kelly just offensive gameplan and leave the recruiting to his army of folks he already has.

Maybe so, but I just don't see Kelly coming back to college to work for another guy. Kelly is 46-7 (.870) and made a BCS bowl every year he was at Oregon. Hell, Kelly has a better winning % in college than Saban and had more success in the NFL too. Not sure why he wouldn't just be a HC in college

Kelly already said he doesn't want to come back to college. He stated he's willing to be an OC at the pro level so he won't go to college as a HC, much less as an OC

Yeah, both are "Bleacher Report" or "Bleacher Report-Esque"....

George Godsey (Texans '14-'16 and Pats '11-'13) is supposed to interview.

If I were Saban, I'd go get dan enos from Arkansas.

He has an SEC non-compete clause in his contract so he can't leave for another SEC team unless its for a HC position. Kirby Smart tried to get him last offseason.

I wonder if he will get the chance at a NFL OC job. It might be the difference between a college HC job or a NFL position coach. Drastic difference in pay between those 2 jobs. Of course there is a big difference in pay between college HC job he could get and a NFL OC. Depends on if he wants the extra hours that comes with the pay in college.

I think he is content with sitting out a year and then trying to find a new job.
