Mamma must have put it up in the attic for you....I had an LA Rams helmet back then. Remember pulling it out and sitting on it in front of the tv as I watched the Steelers pulled away in the 4th Q to beat the Rams.

That was a quick first quarter. Think Atlanta needs to try and stretch the field next possession.

I don't think so. When they listed them I didn't see a woman's name.

If they win tonight, you HAVE to wear that to work tomorrow!

This has been about the worst round of playoff games I can remember. The ONLY 2 competitive games were the 2 Sunday games in the divisional round. All the other games have been blowouts, including now the Super Bowl.

Maybe I spoke too soon. 17 unanswered for the Patriots to get this to an 8 point game.

Best in the league. Ryan has to have a ton of guts to make that throw

Nice play calling Atlanta. Running it down their throat and you try a pass on 3rd and 1. Then, in FG range with the clock running and you keep trying to pass.

So Stupid in that sequence. All they had to do was keep running to use clock and get the FG. Instead they take the sack on a pass play and then the penalty on a pass play and don't even get a FG attempt. Very likely could cost them the game.

Atlanta is being Atlanta. Lord, they're going to blow the biggest lead ever in a Super Bowl.

Exactly, you can't fix stupid. No reason to run that ball out of the end zone. So now they start on the 13.

And the Patriots get the ball first. This one will be over before the Falcon offense even gets on the field.

You don't call pass interference there in that situation unless it is egregious. The refs gave that super bowl to the pats. Just shit.

Who cares? It wasn't egregious PI and shouldn't have been called. It's like fouls in the last seconds of a basketball game. Officiaiting should never decide a game and it did in OT tonight.

Technically speaking, there are holds that aren't called on every offensive play. A play that crucial when he made very very little contact should not be called PI when it decides a super bowl.

Maybe so, but that game was ending on that drive. Atlanta lost it when Ryan took the sack in fg range

If the ref takes it upon himself to change the enforcement of the rules just because it's near the end of the game, THAT's the officiating deciding the game. The time on the clock should have no effect on a referee's decisions, or else players can take advantage.

Dude, it was horrible pass interference. Easy call. Regardless, the Pats were scoring on that drive. There wasn't a thing Atlanta could do about it.

It's called letting players play and it's in the descretion of the refs to make that call. It wasn't even obvious pass interference and I saw much worse stuff that they let go throughout the game. They even let chop blocks and holds go all night on NE OL and WR's. As a ref, you never call something there. Pass Interference is even trending on Twitter and adds to the Patriots have to cheat to win schtick they got going.

Did you get a new wife since the end of MSU football season? or do you not watch games with her... she should know by now.

What a game. What a win.
Hate him or love him, Brady is the greatest of all time. Wow

^^ This. Terrible play call by not running and terrible decision by Ryan to allow himself to get sacked. Got to throw that ball away.

Man I can't believe what we all just witnessed. That was just insane and I think it's gonna take me a while to understand what happened tonight. Ryan and the offense just went ice cold.

Tom just found that Mario star on the Falcons. WHAT???!?

Their offense wasn't on the field for most of the second half. That's not on Matty Ice. The defense was worn down by the Pats offense. That's the story of the game. Well, that, and the Falcons not running the ball to stay in FG range. That was a dumbass coaching call.

I kept wondering why NE was taking so long on drives in the second half given how far they were behind. I guess that's why Belichick makes a lot more money than I do. Both he and Tom Brady are patient men, and have always let the game come to them. They are both individually the greatest coach and QB in NFL history, as well as the greatest coach/QB tandem of all time.

Everyone's blaming Ryan for the sack but remember he completed the next pass down to the 25 yard line which would've been a 43 yard fg but there was holding. That wasn't Ryan's fault. Should they've run the ball? Probably but he came back and made a play on the next pass only to have the hold erase it.

And thus you could argue that he only completed that pass because his OL held to keep the rush off of him.

True but the point I was trying to make is all that wasn't Ryan's fault. Horrible decision on play calling by falcons oc on that drive as well. Plenty of blame to go around not just Ryan

Falcons LB was pulling Bennett down a second before that ball arrives. It was obvious PI. 93 plays to 46 the best team won that game. Brady is GOAT before that game and now he is miles ahead of #2.
