And it's no fluke - Wazzu has double the total yards. Mike Leach is doing a hell of a job, considering how godawful his predecessor Paul Wulff was.

Well, that has me on the fence. Does that make me feel better about Auburn or am I more concerened? Seeing that USC had a test from Hawaii, I like to think this is a good sign

Washington State takes a 10-7 lead with 3:03 in the 4th!!!

It's keystone cops in that game. USC won't win 5 games. WSU is not good.

The haters will continue to deny that Leach is a top 10 college football coach, but whatever. The talent gap in this game is huge. Much bigger than the talent gap between us and Alabama -- that's how horrible Leach's predecessor was.

Hey, I am not saying Leach isn't a good coach. He is a good coach. But that game is a joke. Kiffin will be fired at the end of the year. But it's a good win for Wazzou

Hopefully this dispels the myth that Mike Leach doesn't play defense.

Several posters on this board, including the founder, have said Leach isn't a good coach, so my comment was directed at them.

Oh I gotcha. But lets face it. If WSU doesn't hit that field goal, they are going to OT tied 7-7 and both offenses looked very offensive. Also that WSU QB in two games already has 6 INTs. Numbers that would make Wallace proud. WSU won that game without the benefit of an offensive TD. That is all I will say about that...

Yeah, it definitely was not the offensive explosion that Leach was known for at Texas Tech, but the defensive gameplan to shut down Marquise Lee and the rest of USC's offense was outstanding. Like he so often did at Texas Tech, Leach overcame a huge talent gap and found a way to win.

I would take him over Hud in a heartbeat.......assuming we ever get to that point. I am still very happy with Mullen.

Sad thing is that he will always have a job because he can recruit, and he's just another in a long line that are like that. USC's 2009, 2010, and 2011 classes on Scout were ranked 9th, 5th, and 5th respectively, so their upperclassmen are supposed to be some of the most talented in the country. But the last two years their recruiting has finished outside the top 15. Now add a loss at home to Washington State and you can see the natural trend of flashy coaches like Kiffin that come in and recruit well initially, but can't really coach. Those types of coaches always lose to better coaches even if they have the superior talent advantage.

Leach is an excellent coach. Anyone who says otherwise is a Grade A moron. I don't know that I've ever seen anyone say he wasn't a good coach, though.

No myth. Today was the 1st good D I've seen from him. They really shut down Lee.

Hud can recruit here. That's a big big plus.

Leach hasn't been east of Lubbock since a young Leach started coaching in....Augusta I think.

He was OC at Kentucky in 97-98, but he is mainly a west-of-the-Mississippi guy.

USC doesn't give a shit about football anymore. They really don't and haven't for over a decade. It amazes me that their recruits can't see that. Kiffin is a ****ing joke! A joke! If they had any sense they would not have hired his ass, and certainly would have cleaned house after last season. They are worse than Texas.
