This is the SEC- we can stay with anyone. We could also lose to anyone. Pretty much every game against anyone that isn't really good (UK, USCe, Florida) or really bad (LSU, Mizzou) is a toss up.

I really didn't understand some of the subbing patterns in the first half either by Howland. We took out Peters way too early and in effect took him out of the game. We need a huge game by Peters and we need to get Kegler involved. We also need to continue to work the ball down low to Herard. If they take Q away, fine. We have other scoring options. They are over playing him. No one can make the shots he is trying to take.

There is no doubt the game is called much better when blue bloods meet up. I don't have a problem with the change of CBB to get more freedom of movement. I have a problem with the bias and inconsistency.

I don't understand how in two road games we play unselfishly run our offense and play good defense and in two others just absolutely play like utter shit. It's frustrating as hell watching them sometimes. If a team over plays you, find the open man. Peters picked the worst game to play his worst. Most of the game he looked like he wasn't into it and when Alabama made that run most of it was on Peters making shitty passes for turnovers. We need Ready so we can get Peters out of there when he is in these funks. If we lose Ready for any significant period of time, we are in trouble.

I don't think it is low basketball IQ. I think it is inexperience for the most part. We depend on too many freshmen and it is hard to know what you are going to get from them game to game or even half to half. I think a good record for these guys is 9-9 because I just don't know or can predict what these guys will do. Kegler should have had a great game if he plays smart defensively and doesn't get so many fouls called against him. Herard is just too dang raw to depend on him down low. That left us with Peters who followed up a great game with his shittiest game. I feel like Forrest Gump this team is like a box of chocolates you never know what you are going to get.

It wasn't the timeout. It was a young team that has no experience and you aren't getting any leadership out there because Q had a bad game and Ready was hurt. So we had to depend on freshmen like Peters and Kegler who didn't give us what we needed in those moments. It was like a rinse and repeat of the first meeting.

It has nothing to do with "not being very good." It has to do with consistency. We are too young to expect our team to go on the road and win consistently against a team with a pulse. We won one so far in that category but we aren't going to do that a lot this year. Next year, we should. This year we have a ton of talent and are inconsistent as hell. You would hope by the end of the year we will be playing at a much higher level then this and by SEC tournament time we will be humming at a much higher level.
