Thought it would be interesting to compare the in-state schools' recruiting vs their actual on-field results between Freeze and Mullen and see what you guys thought

I started with 2012 as it was Freeze's first year, and he had a full year to recruit.
Also since we are beginning with the 2012 season, this correlates to the 2013 recruiting class

Mississippi State Recruiting since 2013 (based on 247)
2013 - #25
2014 - #35
2015 - #18
2016 - #28
AVG: #26.5 This is likely to settle near #25 after this class

Mississippi State total record since 2012
40-25 (0.615)

Mississippi Recruiting since 2013
2013 - #8
2014 - #15
2015 - #17
2016 - #5
AVG - #11.25

Mississippi total record since 2012
39-25 (.609)

How do you guys interpret these numbers? My initial impression is that Ole Miss is screwed if they have to rely on coaching alone

Good post. Stars don't matter as much when you got no coaching...

Agreed. That and the star system is flawed. Its not a big difference from being ranked 20-30. The ''experts'' are all just guessing at that point anyway. Lots of guys are poorly evaluated, something that I have to give Mullen credit on

How does the OOC scheduling compare betweent the two teams? Is one easier than the other?

Edge to Bearsharts. They played FSU and an overhyped Boise St. team the last two seasons.

I interpret those results to mean you are totally wrong and I can prove it by saying Alabama gets all the 5 stars and they win all the time so nanny nanny boo boo, stick your face in doo doo.

What would really be interesting would be a ranking of recruiting ROI for them.
