What about Peterson? Didn't he get moved into a recruiting position until decisions were made on new hires? Just curious because I didn't see him in the picture.

Not sure if he's been on the road or not. But you can only have 9 on the road at once. 9 in that picture.

I'm all for it. Glad to see the staff making sure we keep the ones we got.

Sometime in the distant future in a galaxy far away ... if they would all load up on a plane and fly out to Iowa (or a neighboring state) to recruit some 6'6' - 295 to 310 corn fed farm boy with good feet and long arms, who hauls square bales of hay most summer weekends ****

I'll give them credit, that's better effort for sure. I like it.

Probably been reading about how lazy they were, etc. Surely they cleared the visits with the proper members of this board...***********

Sallach is in Florida checking on a couple of guys. You don't count the HC with an in home. It's the 9 assistants on the road but the HC is not included in that number I believe.

It's interesting, because those corn fed farm boys that Iowa gets are typically 6'5 to 6'6" 250-260 lbs tight ends in high school.

Robert Gallery was a 6'7", 240 lbs tight end in high school
Bryan Bulaga 6'5", 270
Eric Steinbach 6'7", 235 lbs

...etc.

That's what I'm talking about. Surely we could steal a few of those guys away from the B1G, then put more meat on them after they show up to MSU.

They are a little more than a 2 hour drive from Starkville tho.

I seen it dawg

They are too busy deciding who our next coach will be (plus who his OL coach will be).

Yea it is. Not really saying it ain't.

Just in all my years of listening to RoseBowl and who we're putting the full court press on at the end, it's usually a stud RB, LB, or DLineman. And we definitely should keep wooing them till the end or we'll end up like we did with Lashley last year. Mississippi produces a lot of those (RB, LB, and DL) within a 2 - 5 hour drive from Starkville. They don't produce many stud OL within that distance. Just would like the recruiting footprint to expand some for OL.

Totally agree, I'm like some of the other guys on this board, let's assign somebody to the Midwest.
