I have heard some good things about their baitcast reels, but has anyone here used one of their spinning reels? Thinking about pulling the trigger on one and giving it a shot. For the price, I wouldn't be out too much if they end up being crap.

havebt used them but I'm curious to hear how they do. I follow Kalon Johnson on Instagram and he's pro staff. He talked about them some in a podcast I listened to on LAFishBlog

I had a rod (my own fault it broke) and love it and have the concept c reel. It don't use it much because it's tiny and weightless, but my wife loves it. It's a really good real. I just have large hands so I prefer round reels like calcuttas. Plus, they're a US company.

calcutta

In my mind, best saltwater reel ever made. I'm still using one that's going on either 14 or 16 years old...original all star rod as well.

W2F has done a couple reviews on their stuff and seems to be legit... I would probably buy some, but I'm basically a revo guy...

I'll second that. Calcuttas are freaking bulletproof

Agreed. I have an ambassadeur and it doesn't hold a candle to the Calcutta

I've got that exact setup. I use all shimano reels, except my two Daiwa saltist... which I love.
