Between State and OM. Where is he leaning? Any chance he actually makes it to school?

He will have to turn down top 10 pick money to come to college. Like Ti'Quan Forbes a few years ago...odds are against it.

Joe will never see a college campus. Dad wants the money.

I thought he wanted to at least commit to us, though. Don't think theres a chance in hell we get him.

I know we were leading before his OM visit but it seems we may have lost out. This guy is a reporter for the Hattiesburg American. Maybe he is wrong. Regardless, it seems he won't make it to anyone's campus.

I've known Joe and his dad since T ball. They just waiting on the MLB payday.

Best of luck to the kid in chasing his dream!

He's listed the number 4 high school prospect for mlb draft. So he's looking between a 4-6 million dollar pay day.

Is he a position player? IF or OF?

OF. Plus athlete with plus power. Also pitches some, but I don't expect that to be his ticket.

OM

So what did they pay him to commit?

So what did they pay him to commit?

I think olemiss has found a new sport to go "all in" on. We have had too much momentum lately for their liking. The kid was telling everyone he was going to commit to State previously. In his position, I can't imagine why he would change his mind, considering he isn't going to college anyway. Strange.

Who cares where he committed? OM has gotten plenty of these kids before. There are some HS kids you might as well take a shot on to see if they come to college. This is not one of them, he's never showing up in Oxford.
